Wow long time since my last updates. so lets give a run down. Went to two project revolutions, last week, alex bach and warped. I'm going write more about warped, if you wanna know about the others I dunno comment.
So it started by getting to warped early. We totally cut the front of the line and after getting in, waited in the press line for a good 20 minutes. Stand in line talking to some other press people (meeting Alix and guys from big mags was cool) we get in and go backstage, spending the next 20 minutes trying to find the press tent. Of course we walked by catering, saw everyone and then found the press area tucked behind the bathrooms. It was this little nice grassy area. We got our schedule and then headed out. We missed some bands but then got in the photo pit for sugarcult. We were allowed to shoot the entire set, which was weird, but then to my suprise, I spotted ben (davis) out of the corner of my eye!
After sugarcult's set, I found meagan (who snuck away :o thanks love) and we headed over to sugarcult's tent, where ben saw us and I introduced myself and he goes "I know who you are" and smiled. We chatted for a little and then he stole gina's lighter! Meagan and I went back for our interview with Letter Kills, Kyle ended up riding his bike over and talked with us, it was fun. After we got a picture with him and matt (winked at me as he was leaving) , and tim saw us about 8 more times during the day. Went over to Letter Kills and did photos of them. It was funny cause meagan calls me and whispers that a certain band is there. SO I took off running and made it over, sadly we didn't get a chance to interview them after we were told we could (bastards! haha we know they are busy) But a certain member kept staring at us and then walked by and made this weird kissy face at us. It was scary, I am scared.
We ended up interviewing Warren from the Vandals, John and Scott from Rufio, Connor from Boys Night Out and Chris from Army of Freshman after. Connor was super chill, he would have stayed and talked forever if Libby (who was great also) didn't come take him away! Then Chris came and we were his only interview so it was so nice to sit and talk with him. We did kinda forget the..interview but I'll make something work! Ended up doing photos for Story of the year, boys night out, letter kills, rufio, sugarcult, and brazil. My camera died 1/2 though brazil and we tried for yellowcard but shit security was like RAWR. Oh well Ryan smiled at us early. Oh and one of the guys from Dynamite boy saw me wearing their hat and hugged me, they were like "aw your awesome" it was funny.
Started our own pit for yellowcard cause we got bored (someone proposed! it was cute), then after waiting for an hour and half after the show for someone who ditched us, finally caught the bus into harlem. Missed the train and waited another hour with Chris, before finally making it home and sleeping it was great. After this long post here are some pics:

Denise Mike and I arrived around 11 am. We had water, trashbags and everything else one could need for the show. We met up with tracie and everyone and just totally joked around all day (aka. how campbell's soup owns you and bag porn) and then it started pouring around 2. We all cowered into out little bags and it was just funny to watch. They let us in at 5 30 and we picked up our seether m& g passes. We spotted Amy walking by, sporting the bunny ears and a grey shirt with jeans.
Breaking Benjamin.3DG- Good again but eh wasn't paying attention due to seeing it the day before.
Seether- Fucking awesome. They totally had the entire crowd going and just rocking out. Amy was standing on the side, singing to every song and dancing. She ended up behind Vinny cause too many people saw her. Of course everyone sang to Broken and then they played a new song and ended with "You Know Your Right". Shaun got down on his knees and rubbed the guitar against the speaker thing. Very rockstar
Seether m&g- We (only 6 of us) were taken backstage and put in the corner of the trailers. Pat comes out and starts introducing himself. He shook my hand and looked at me and said "do I know you?" I informed him I had met him the day before and he laughed saying ah yes, we talked chit chat a little and John came over, and we chatted again. Dale then came over, smiling and with his little cute accent was like hello girls! We asked him if he'd mind signing anything and he said "sure sweetheart but can you please hold this?" and handed me his Corrs Light. He signed and we got pictures (with Pat and John as well). Dale was so nice and chatty, we talked about alcohol and the show at Jones Beach. Then we went to Shaun, who also recognized us, and started chit chatting. He told us how the show yesterday sucked and then they would have normally done an acoustic set. It sucked for 2 reasons. 1. Seats and 2. No Alcohol served. According to him and I quote, while looking at us and then tour manager guy "when your 21 and 22 you need alcohol to make things fun *points to tour manager guy* when your this guys age of 35 you need it just to wake up". We laughed and then the tour guy said "No you need it to go to sleep, start eating etc." 3 of us got indivuidual group photos with the band and then we said our thank yous and goodbyes. Eddie walked by, stopped me and we started talking a little. I didn't want to hold anyone up so we briefly chatted
Ev- amazing as usual. Black tanktop, the roseland black and red skirt hair down. I thought the best part was when Amy was trying to play thoughtless, they couldn't soundcheck much due to the rain, her piano wasn't working correctly, so she started talking about us who sat in the rain (shaun also had mentioned seeing us), and called herself a dork etc. I was so happy they played Zero because they didn't at Jones Beach. It was an awesome show

Ok first off big ups to Wind Up. I love them so much, for giving me a pass, yes photos up on Monday!
It started out with us going around back to the "VIP" will call. Which made me happy when low and behold SEETHER came out. I never thought it place that big I would get to meet them. So picked up my photo pass and went to my seats. Eh not bad but not good. I saw the last 2 songs of Breaking Benjamin. Pretty good
Three Days Grace comes on and I'm pretty much the only photographer up there shooting, a pretty damn good set. Not that anyone knew the words only just to I Hate Everything About You. So props to them, not a bad set
bum bum SEETHER time. Tracie and I were sitting up front, screaming at the top of our lungs "YOU FUCKING ROCK!" and I screamed" SHAUN YOUR FUCKING AWESOME" and he looked over, pointed at me, smiled and gave me the rock on sign, no one knew seether (and note when I say no one I mean THE VAST MAJORITY) . Awesome set, Fine Again, Gasoline, most of Disclaimer 2. See what pisses me off is that broken starts, half the crowd gets up and then amy came out and whoosh everyones up. Not that it wasn't bloody brilliant live. Oh before this, after my photography, I got put back to where the busese were. I was like ok this is cool, and then Terry, Rocky, and John walked by me like 8 times...it was awesome, but I won't lie I didn't wanna bother them, so I smiled and waved at terry and he waved back giving me a smile.
Evanescence comes on and it was amazing. I was getting a little frustrated with my photos but it was awesome. Amy-black tanktop, the white ripped up skirts, black and white tights, running up and close while we shoot. Amazing. Went back to my seat and sang along. Mike and I were pretty much the only ones around that new the fucking words to any of the song. We were singing loud and proud to Thoughtless, amazing. Of course the sound was so much better then Roseland. I was really pissed that they didn't play Zero, but I think that had to do more with curfew.
Anyways I need to sleep, I'm getting up for philly 3 hours and 45 minutes to drive down to philly!! |

Ok well Carrie said I had to make this entry full of details, otherwise she would hurt me. So here ya go Carrie:
NESSA'S TRIP TO SEE LETTER KILLS (its epic)
It started off by taking the train into NYC. I met up with my friend Jess and together with my friends Angie and Gina. We took the subway down to lower manhattan and walked over to the venue. This was at 6.25 pm for an 8 pm show, which we were the first ones there! It was like wtf. Anyways Matt walked by us wearing a brown sweater and jeans, with green shoes (good carrie?). He smiled and I waved hello and he was like "you guys even beat me to the venue!" It was cute! Paul walked by a bit and smiled, waving at me.
At 8 they let people in and there were like...20 people in line. They were checking IDs cause it was an 18+ show, which thank god I am 18, and also a little weird. So we placed ourselves, right up front where Matt's mic stand was. We looked at the set list (yes I called dibs so I have it) and the set list goes like this (I stole it, it's pretty much destroyed as well):

So the band walks on stage, and I say hey to them all, and they all smile and say hey back, cept matt rubbed my hair. I was like thanks....and then the show starts. AMAZING stage presence as usual. And with only 80-100 people in the room, most of them older guys in suits (we learned the show was an label/exhibition show cause LA Reid, President of Arista/owner of Island was there talking to them after). Matt stands in front of us and we had to step back so not to get punched in the head, head butted, slapped with the mic chord (ya it still happened like 3 times). He gets up right in angie's face, singing to her and takes her glasses moving them up and down her face (SO FUNNY ANGIE) and then looks right at me, while I sing along. Twas kinda creepy because 1. not only was matt RIGHT IN MY FORKING FACE there were like 6 video guys and photographers snapping away. So he actually completley slipped on water that was spilled on the stage and I swear I thought Angie and I were going get kicked in the face. Then Matt kinda rolled over onto his back so all of his weight was on his neck, followed by jumping onto the drum set.
Brand New Man starts and since thats my favorite song, I started singing loud and proud. Matt smiled and looked down at me and singing. Carrie you are right, when he sings looking at you, it's like he's singing right to you. He lenaed down in front staring at my friend and singing right at her, while he's got his hand on my head...again. The song ends and he's drinking his water, then the song starts and he chucks the water. It like fucking hit angie in the chest, which bounced off and nailed me HARD in the face. Kinda took me off guard and it hurt alot! My face still hurts now. But he leaned over a bit later, and sang a bit to me so I forgave him.
Don't Believe comes on and matt jumps up onto the drums, grabs the pipe above and starts swinging. We all thought he was going to kick Paul right in the face. After getting fully up to the ceiling with his swinging, he jumped down and starts singing to people again. The other mic stand got knocked over and nailed some kid in the face as well. It looked painful. He's entertaining the crowd, and then comes back, leaning down singing to angie again, resting his hand on my shoulder. I'm looking right at him singing along (picture below!). Song breaks and right before the last song, Matt leans in front of gina with his devilish smirk on his face. and them BOOM, spits a whole thing of water into her face. I know call her spit girl! It was THE FUNNIEST THING EVER. Shes all like "HGIAHFAGFA!!" Show ends on an amazing note. Best show of LK I've seen.
After Paul signs a drumstick and hands it to me, smiling. We got pictures with him and kinda mosed around. I like Kyle and Dustin were in kinda bad moods so we didn't really interact much with them. Matt's there, eating a lollipop, shirt opened and he starts talking to us. We get pictures, he signs blah blah and then he said he'd be back and walked off. Then I hear "Nessa?" and I turn around and JANET IS BEHIND ME! It was so good to see her and I'm so glad she came. I gave her a massive hug and we talked for a little. I need to e-mail her my contact info and hugged her goodbye. We head for the door and Matt's there in a wife beater and he hugs me, and i remembered "Carrie says hello". He looked at me, knew the name sounded familiar and smiled. He says "Hey carrie, hope to see you soon!". Hugged Matt bye and then ran off to grand central. Here are two pics. YAYAYA yesterday was the taking back sunday show and it was awesome! I had to work backstage so bascially I ended up being band's bitch. Anything they wanted I got for them.
But it was cool to have to be in their dressing room and see the rider (yes when I was alone I ate some of their food!). So meagan and I stood on the side of the stage for all the bands. The guy from the sleeping was so nice and they rock! He joked around with me and signed my shirt etc. Taking Back Sunday rocked the mother fucking crowd. I got some amazing shots here are only a couple. Then after I got to yell at kids, mm k bye :)

The day started out with Meagan coming over and finding me completely wrapped in my blanket shivering. We got dressed and left the house around 1 30. The day was fucking gorgeous and we drove up blasting the Used to Webster. Granted we hit some traffic but it was gorgeous and fine. We hit the Wendy's up there and yes due to some fucker leaving a shit in the toilet and me not noticing, we succesfully clogged the toilet together. Meagan could not use it so she ran into the boy's bathroom while I stood guard making sure no fuckers could walk in on her peeing.
After we arrrived to the threatre we parked in the fucking ghetto (Emily, Carrie and Meagan can total back me up on this) and walked to the front of line where Emily was. There were like 25 kids so it was awesome. Meagan, Emily and I walked to the side where Pete(FOB) was sitting there, and he totally got these two girls to make a FOB box shirt JUST to meet Pat. It was so fucking funny and he filmed it while we helped taped it. Then he walked off so I stole the tape bwhahaha. It was such an awesome time hanging with Pete, Joe and Andy. Pat was kind of wobbling around. Then we went back to the front of the line where Sky, a promoter for Island Record, came out and we bonded extremely well. We're on his new street team and its going be fucking fun. So we promoted for a bit, picked up photo passes and then sat outside talking to Matt, Sky, his girlfriend, Steve, and Meagan. It was crazy and these girls asked us for tampons. AT 8.45 we parted ways and Meagan and I ran into see FUCKING LETTER KILLS LEARN IT BIOTCH!. k click under cut for the show...

Um I'm bored, it's late and ya that's about it. OH! I got to go to "senior" prom. Which is basically prom from senior citizens, some of them were sooo cute and they were all so nice! It makes me feel good that we could help out some older people to have a good time. Um ya that's really it.

Mmm so life's been ok. What can I blog about, eh how about prom? It was pretty good, once I get my pictures developed I can post them but until then no pics for you! bwhaha
so went to prom at 9.15. Had to take a breathalizer and was told to blow harder. Of course I passed, danced till about 12 then left. Went to the city with some friends, stayed at my friend's GORGEOUS apt. Passed out around 4, woke up at 8, came home at 10 fell asleep till 3.

ok many people wanted to know how the avril show went so I am typing up my experince!
It started out taking the train into nyc and arriving around 3.30 pm. I walked over to virgin and met up with mike where thank god the building to pick up tickets was right next Virgin. So we picked them up and then headed on down to the subway and over to Union Square and then to Webster Theatre.
There really wasn't a line when we got there so we sat down and bonded with a girl I had met at Mest (Sam) and her friend something else. We sit around for a while and jump in every picture we can because well we were bored. So finally at 7ish they let us in and mike takes off ahead of me. Girls take forever because they check bags and by the time I finally walked up all 2 flights of stairs mike's there front row center! He's so good at doing that.
After a two hour wait we stood around in the front looking at the little kids, Avril comes out. She looked gorgeous with her black tanktop and her hair was cripped so the blonde and black mixed together. It was so good seeing her that close and she was good live. OH MY GOD I SAID IT, GOOD LIVE! She played guitar well and her singing was pretty on key. The set list was I think:

Show ends and we stand around inside, talking to the people we met and waiting around. Craig came out and signed and then ran away so it was a bit disapoiting but have no fear. We ran outside and they had the cars and barricades set up so we set ourselves nice right in front on a barricade waiting. About 45 minutes later out comes avril. She signed for every single one of us, chatted for a bit and was just a plain sweetheart. Seriously she was so fucking nice and friendly. Nothing to what I expected. Evan, Matt and Craig came out and signed also. We had a bit of time to talk to them (Avril drove out by then) and were so cool.
After Mike and I headed over to Virgin megastore and waitied around till 12. We actually bumped into the manager for POD and he stopped and talked to us then proceeded to ask us if we had tickets for the show tomorrow. I was told the show was sold out so I told him "no the show's sold out etc" he seemed suprised, gave me his cell number and told me to call him tomorrow and he'll try and get us in. I was like o.o ok....
And then I got the album and went home. The End

Another fucking day of sitting inside, YAY I love having friends in this town, oh wait no that's like 4 people. God damnit I hate how everyone is fucking shallow and so close minded. I need to move to Virginia very soon. College is going be a clean slate, start over. I'm either going love it or hate it. I'm just praying its more of a love it.
Sneed and I are going to see Fall Out Boy in hartford! I'm so excited. This will be my first show since the Story of the year one, which was fun but I'm going have more fun at this show. Before I didn't know alot of the words because I had only gotten into them a week before but know I know most of the words! That always makes a show more fun so your not like ya *bobs head* ok I'm cool hahaha. I hope we can find the guys again and just chill say hi etc. They are by far the sweetest people I have meet. Speaking of them, I wonder where my Fall Out Boy went. I have to go find it. I also hope Carrie and Emily can make it to the show, its always fun to have people I heart there.
My bro and I sorta bonded last night, it was a weird way to bond but it was fun. We would drive over parts of lawns and crap. Ya I don't wanna hear "But Omg that's not your lawn and someone's else" ya we get that, we're driving over lawns of people that have done something mean to us or to him. But it's just fun to have your heart racing, the fear of getting caught, and the grass under the tires.
Mmmm anything else going on, oh ya prom's in 3 weeks. Tonight it the junior prom and on the 29th is Senior Prom. I'm going I believe but I don't wanna go. I meanm eh I dunno maybe I will once the time is closer but for now it's like "omg we have to spend a billion dollars on a dress etc". Lame. Ok I'm done |

Last night was the Motion City Soundtrack, Letter Kills and Story of the Year show. The opening band Flip Four was a local CT band and they were really good actually. We got to meet them at the show and they were just stoked that they were able to sign anything. Nice guys, you should check them out: Flip Four.
Letter Kills came on after and they were amazing! The guys were very interactive and Matt's vocals were amazing. It's sad their cd doesn't drop till July but at least I have the 3 song EP to hold me over. They were signing things after the show so we got a pic with Matt, and we were going get one with the other guys but we got shoved out :/ bastards
Motion City Soundtrack was awesome, I knew more about them this time so I could get into it. The guys were super chill, the keyboarder has so much energy! The were hanging around after, and signed my shirt, one of them wrote "MCS love you!" and I felt special cause they didn't for anyone else bwhahaha.
Story of the Year I have never seen a floor go nuts like that. Girls were passing out here and there. One girl came out almost falling over hyperventalating. The crowd was so loud, duing "Anthem of Our Dying Day" we actually drowned out the band. Sam and I stood in the back with some of the guys rocking out. It was awesome.
The night ended with us going to Glory Day and eating cheesy fries. Then I came home and passed out! Good show! |

Wow just got home from Boston and Emily's house. It was a long intereting trip. After arriving at Emily's, we headed out and after our 2 1/2 hour car trip we arrived in Boston and the avalon.
Getting out of the car we walked down the street and glancing we saw marko and I kept walking. Emily yelled at me and we walked back but then he left. We sat on the rail and tim and airin walk in the building. So sitting there we befriended the roadies or whatever and when they left we were sitting in their seats. Tim and Airin had walked out and tim is standing right next to me. I smile and hand him the get weller soon card and we talked for a bit. After we walked over to Airin and talked to him and said hey to kenny. He showed us his kid and he's adorable! Lucas is his name
So the doors open and we went to find our photo passes and we were told to go to this girl. We walked over and we weren't on the list. So Emily calls ben who calls AIRIN, who talks to the manager. Then Airin called Ben back who called us back. So we finally get our photo passes and we head over when Maxeen is over and we get trouble AGAIN. We were told they weren't photo passes and finally after talking to 26252957 guards and us almost in tears, they let us down.
We got some amazzinnngg photos and the set was awesome. After we kinda walked around and started talking to the guys from Maxeen. I'm going get to interview the drummer (hella nice) and then Tim came out and by that point I'm sure he was tired of me. So we just got him to call jess and then left. After waiting in line for Mc'D's for fucking ever we ran back over and straight to the Sugarcult bus. Kenny saw us and started talking to us. We got pictures and then he decided to draw on my disposable camera, now Kenny and I are pirates. PIRATE CORE!!
We had lost all hope in finding marko so sitting on the curb waiting for Emily's dad, MARKO WALKS OUT!!!! We were like "o.o" and he walked over to us. Emily was like "We've been waiting for you for over an hour!" He was like "OMG REALLY?!" and we nodded. We talked adn I told him I was going to the show tomorrow (or today)He laughed and pulled us into a hug and we didn't wanna hold him up. So we both got our pics. He rocked with me and kissed Emily on the forhead. Then squeezed my arm and told me "See ya tomorrow! drive safe!". And thus the night ends.

Ok so sitting at school right now in Personal Finance. My teacher didn't feel like teaching so she decided to give us a short quiz and then we could do whatever we wanted. Ya everyone is talking and I sit here writing. I have an astronomy test in about oh 10 minutes. I get to use my notes so it's not going be that bad. Dr. Wesney is hella cool.
So in 2 days I will be driving to Miss Emily's house adn then over to the Sugarcult concert. I'm so excited, Meagan's going lend me her freaking awesome digi camera, and I'll have my dispsoble so bwhahaha, loads of closes up. Then I get to drive to LI to see them, so I prob. can't blog till late Monday or Tues morning. But then I might go into the city with Frank so we'll see.
Man I really need to start my AP psych paper. 10-15 pages on depression and alcoholism. Ok bells going ring so better bounce. Maybe I'll make my journal friends only but eh probably not, not many people know my lj. Ok later |
